Since I arrived in Australia I have been amazed by how many successful people I have met. I remember chatting with he manager of a small cafe in the city, the guy was fiftysh, he had arrived from Greece in the late seventies (as many others !) and had been successful in setting up a charcoal chicken shop in Victoria. He was still working because he liked to keep himself busy but he could have afford no to work.

Shortly after I have been working for a few days in one of those direct marketing companies in Sydney, the founder and director of the company was a 21 year old ossie.

Just recently I went flying with a 62 year old guy originaly fron the netherlands that had arrived in Australia in the seventies, he started a business to import cheese to Australia and wasn’t making much money but when a shop asked him to move some stuff he found himself in the removals industry, and now he is heading the biggest removalist company of Australia.

I grew up in France and it has always been the crisis there, when I arrived to Australia I could feel instantly that there was some money to be made here.

This is why I think that if you are young and ambitious, go to a country that is dynamic on an economic level (like China or India), and take your chance !
